Monday 21st – Sunday 27th September 2015

On Wednesday, the Sun enters Libra, marking the Autumn Equinox, the time when day and night are of equal length, a time of balance and harmony, of harvest and plenty.

In the southern hemisphere it is, of course, the Spring Equinox.

On Friday, Mars leaves the orderly Earth sign of Virgo and moves into the   romantic, peace-loving Air sign of Libra. Also on Friday, Pluto ceases his Retrograde motion and begins to go Direct once more. Major moves that were set aside for months begin to loom large again and changes begin to take place.

On Sunday night, (actually, early Monday morning next week on the 28th) there is a Full Moon, a Supermoon, extra close to the Earth.  It is  in Aries, a so-called Blood Moon, the red colour caused by an effect of the sun’s rays shining through the earth’s atmosphere. There is also a Total Lunar Eclipse, visible from Ireland, at its peak at 3.47am.

All kinds of people are expecting the Apocalypse, or the Rapture, or possibly the end of life as we know it, with this Blood Moon and Lunar Eclipse. If it starts raining locusts or frogs where you live, let me know.

ARIES ( 21 March – 20 April)

Make the most of the fun, friendship and romance you have been enjoying while Mars has been in Leo, because on Friday, your ruling planet moves into Virgo and after that, you can expect several weeks of hard work, of going out of your way to help other people and of examining any health issues that may arise, whether for yourself, or for someone else. You will be coming down to earth with a bump this week, attending to your responsibilities and taking charge when necessary. The Full Moon in your sign at the end of the week may  indicate someone going out of your life now.

TAURUS (21 April – 21 May)

You have been receiving a lot of attention lately and this week is no different.  You enjoy the gatherings you attend, even if you can’t quite express what you are feeling. You are busy doing things for other people, even although you are feeling very tired. Someone is on hand to help you with a health problem, if that is what you want. The Full Moon influences your way of thinking and you find you can let go of a lot of your long-held ideas and theories, not easy for stubborn Taurus. If you have been considering a change of scene, you can go ahead now.

GEMINI (22 May – 21 June)

This is a great time to get in touch with old friends, or even to rekindle a past romance. (This could happen at a gathering you will be attending.) You are doing a great deal of essential tidying, chucking out and cleaning at home and this is really quite exhausting. A few old memories are unearthed along the way! A delay in your financial situation is sorted now, whether this means spending a large sum, or receiving one! It will work well for you, either way! The Full Moon brings a party, or an important meeting, perhaps to say goodbye to someone.

CANCER (22 June – 23 July)

Full Moon are always important for you and with the Lunar Eclipse as well, this one is even more so. It is all happening on your Solar Midheaven and therefore will affect your career and your future. Perhaps a project draws to a close, your boss resigns, or a colleague moves on. Changes which have been hanging fire for ages now begin to move forward. The information you receive may not be completely accurate, so check it out carefully before you react. You will be doing some research this week, but you will get full credit for it.

LEO (24 July – 23 August)

Plan to do something creative, or spiritually motivated, at the Equinox – you are in just the right mood. Get out into the countryside, or do some spade work in your garden. If you have been planning to get on with a project or two, but have not felt motivated, that will all change at the weekend. There could be a breakthrough  regarding your health as well, as you resolve to look after yourself much better and your mood changes to one of optimism. The Full Moon brings a plan for a trip – or maybe you are setting off now!

VIRGO (24 August – 23 September)

As Mars enters your sign, you feel a great burst of renewed energy and you turn to the things you know you must do and begin to take charge once more. Other people are not much help these days, or are just not available, but you already know that. Some Virgos are given extra responsibility at work, maybe even a promotion. If you have been waiting for someone you love to make a particular move, this can go ahead now and it is a great relief. The Full Moon brings an important stage in a group project; someone may opt out now.

LIBRA (24 September – 23 October)

As the Sun enters your sign, you begin to feel in control of things once more and to receive far more attention from other people. Just make sure that the information you are offering to others is actually reaching them. As Pluto turns Direct, a stalled domestic situation begins to move forward at last. Again, make sure you know exactly what is going on and make sure you read any documents thoroughly, as there could be confusion, or even deliberate subterfuge. The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse is likely to move a relationship on to a new stage.

SCORPIO (24 October – 22 November)

As your ruler, Pluto, begins to move forward once more, you feel a welcome sense of freedom. You can make new plans now and consider some changes to your environment. (A health issue, or even chronic exhaustion, may help you to make up your mind.) You begin to concentrate on group activities, even if this means you are simply relaxing with friends! Do not feel you have to organize things, however. There is a possibility you will be micro-managing everything and worrying a lot. A career issue comes to a head with the Full Moon.

SAGITTARIUS  (23 November – 21 December)

As usual, you are trying to do too much and as a result, feeling very tired. Your home situation is draining you. If you have been contemplating a change at work, or if changes are pending, this can take place now, as Pluto moves Direct. You may even be receiving a sum of money! You are extremely busy, charging about in all directions, because like it or not, you are in control here. The Equinox brings a month of group activities and the Full Moon and Eclipse may see someone you care about moving out of your life.

CAPRICORN (22 December – 20 January)

You have been keeping a low profile lately, but the Equinox brings you a great deal of attention, perhaps because of some creative work you have been doing, or maybe because you have been doing charity work, or looking after someone. The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse signal changes in your domestic situation. There is a greater sense of liberty now and many of you set off on a journey, while others may even be moving house. There is plenty of work to be done first, however!

AQUARIUS (21 January – 19 February)

The Equinox may signal the beginning of a course of study, or perhaps a trip in good company.  People around you calm down, become less concerned with their own lives and are far more co-operative. You need to take action in your financial affairs and pay close attention to all transactions, as you may spend more money than you intended now. Double check everything.  A burden is lifted from your shoulders and you feel you can go ahead with personal plans. The Full Moon and Eclipse bring changes to your surroundings.

PISCES (20 February – 20 March)

This week there is a parting with friends. Make sure you say everything you want to say, as your messages may find some difficulty in reaching their target. You have been focusing a lot on the requirements of other people over the past month or so, but with the Equinox, you find you can let this go a little. Instead, you will be focusing on your finances and seeking some expert advice. The Full Moon and Eclipse bring a big change for you in your career and your plans for the future. You may find that certain people become very intent on pushing a personal agenda, so hold fast to your own ideas.
